Happy Valentine's Day

It's been a stressful week at work.  I've worked 10 extra hours this week and have had no desire to crochet.  That is bad.  The only good thing is the nights at work flew by.
Thursday night I came home and honey surprised me with this, having been so stressed all week I just weeped, but it felt good.

This is the only projected I managed a few stitches on.  It shall be a baby blanket.

And another project I pick up here and there.

I still haven't heard from my giveaway winner Jackie who commented.  I'll give it another week.
If I don't hear from her, and want to win please comment again on this post.

Hope everyone is staying warm.  It's a super cold one here today.

Thank You Followers

This week I reached a 1000 followers on Bloglovin.  In honour of that I would like to do a giveaway for this scarf above.  I absolutely love these colours together. I will probably add a few crochet surprised with this.   If you would like to win this scarf.  Please leave me a comment below and I will draw a winner next weekend, January 31.
Thank you all again for being interested in my crochet!

I'm almost done the back of my cushion cover. I can't wait to put it together.

This week I managed to whip up this crochet headband.  I used Cre8tion Crochet's pattern, Sleek and Skinny Ear Warmer/Headband.  The only problem is after done, it doesn't quite fit my head.  LOL
I measured the starting chain to my head but the finished product, not so much.  But, I did see a tutorial to crochet around an elastic. So I may try that to add to the back.

I added the elastic. Much better fit.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Don't forget to leave a comment if you wish to enter winning my crocheted scarf!

Crochet RoundUp

SO.... Thanks to homeschooljewelerymom 's blog post about my soon to be giveaway for my 100 followers, I hit that number today.  I went through my stash and pulled out a few skeins I can part with.  As well, there will be a few thrown in surprises.  In order to win my stash surprise, you have to be a follower and please post a comment on this blog post as to which of my many crochet projects was your favourite. Later next week I will randomly draw from this blog post's comments a name. If you would like to leave your email feel free.

There's one skein of the Bernat Puff Ball yarn (fun for christmas project), Bernat Mosaic, and this unknown skein of pink yarn.  Again, I will be throwing in a few surprises, may be yarn related or not.

So my border on the Daisy Blanket is coming along.  On the second colour. I think a pink will be next.
And I am still working on my bed ripple.  It is summer and the need for the yarn blanket on the single bed isn't a great hurry.

I am still working on that other throw blanket that is more for queen size bed, but would also make a great going for a picnic blanket once done.

And for my fellow Canadian's.... It's the long weekend and Happy Canada Day this Sunday!!

Squares and Giveaway

I just wanted to share this giveaway with you.  Susanne's Blog is giving a new year's bundle to her followers.  Check it out.

As for my special Granny Square project, some more progress has been made and hope to make more this weekend.  I edged it with a pale lavender colour.  I think I will have to block it again to get the edges straight.  Flowers are being made for this project as well.  I'm hoping to get a few varieties done in these fun happy colours.

I also finished a shrug I only started early September.  I had already made one with a green tone in Homespun yarn but wanted a white, neutral one.  I improvised on the design as the first one I found I wanted longer sleeves for more warmth as well as extended length on the back.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoys the mild weather here in the Easter time Zone.
