Week 5 of the summertime ripple. I am running low on my bright pink and bright green colours so I went to Michael's with the 15% off entire purchase coupon only to get there and they were out of these colours. Grrr. I avoided temptation to get some the the nice Bernat Waverly Yarns. I did find the green however at Zellers, now it's the pink to find. I did pick up another shade of bright pink, which I may have to switch over to or just eliminate. One more store to check before giving up.
And for my Lucy Bag....
I will get to the red to stop at. Then I will do the shell edging and start making the handles. I can't wait till it's done to start sporting it around with my other WIP projects inside.
And for the African flowers. I found a pattern to make them into a bag and need 12. I have the 12 made now and am starting to sew them together. I did 4 different colour variations.
The pattern for the bag suggest using colours in the flowers to sew together. The example picture in the pattern looks so nice with the different colours for the stitching and then using in the base and assembly of the bag.
OH! I sold my first item on my Etsy store this week. I was tickled with glee. My rainbow mandala pot holder.
So now for some snaps of the gorgeous day we had here yesterday. It got up to 70 degrees F, not bad for the middle of March and St. Patty's Day. It's quite nice out today so far.
Even the cat loved it outside.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!!
