Merry Christmas Happy Holidays

Just a quick wish to you all.
Have a wonderful holiday.

Honey and I had a lovely dinner. My first meatless Christmas dinner.  The Tofurkey was surpisingly tasty.  Even the cats tried it.

Just a few things I received from co-workers.  I adore my owls and snowmen.

Family Visit

It's always nice to see your crafted gift on the receiver.  My cousin loved her fox cowl I made
her.  I am making one for little James as well but didn't finish it in time for their visit.

James did like the dancing Snoopy we got him.

He has a slight obsession with our cat tree.

Christmas is always nice seeing through a kids eyes.

I wish everyone a Happy Holidays with their family.

Finished WIP and Goodies

So I finished this project this week for my cousin's gift as she posted the link on my wall I took it as a hint for a gift.  It's the Flint Fox Cowl by Heidi May pattern that I bought.  It's well written and easy to follow instructions.  For this adult size I used 6 balls of the main colour Loops & Threads Charisma Marble chunky yarn in Granite from Michael's and maybe 1/4 ball of the chocolate brown.

I also started another but for a toddler, my cousin's little one I call my nephew.
Same yarn in blue.

I received some goodies this week from my brother who now lives in Canada's Great White North, Yukon.  Some Fireweed Jelly (made from a flower native to that area) which was quite good. A cute felted sheep, fun named soap and hot chocolate and best of all some lovely hand dyed yarn.

Last weekend I put the tree up for the first time in a few years.  Mostly we didn't have the room but made the room this year as it's Pippa's first Christmas with us.

And as you can see she's super impressed.  LOL

Hope you have a good weekend!!

Finished Scarf

I finished my knitted scarf. It's so cozy I wore it at work tonight as the office was a bit cold.
There's nothing like the feeling of finishing a project.  I guess if I finished all the projects on the go I may burst.

I joined the Handmade Gift Exchange again this year.  I made that giant knitted scarf for my swap partner, who has received it by now and hopes she likes it as she's in a cold part of Canada. I received her package today to find a truly unique creations.  I did mention to her I love snowmen.

I am not sure if there is a name for this type of crafting but it looks tedious.
I do love it though.

Here's some snaps of my Christmas decorations I have out around the house.

My snowman love and a crocheted Christmas tree I found at the thrift store last year around the picture of my young grandmother.

My crochet crocodile stitch tree I made a few years ago and my mini silver tree that has bright blue, pick and green decorations.

The end table with some lighted decor.

I even went festive on the nails today.

And finally another of my Pippa girl.  She's a bit tired here.

Have a good weekend all!!!
